I have always been fascinated by human beings and what makes them tick, why they react and behave as they do.
Counselling was a natural choice and allowed me to develop this interest and learn how to listen and really hear what my clients are saying. My Counselling Diploma with Vital Connexions is integrative, meaning that I studied across a broad range of theoretical disciplines, which is useful as it allows me to choose from a range of interventions and adapt to suit individual clients.
I work mainly in a Person Centred way and find that the process of establishing a relationship of trust in an environment of acceptance and empathy is powerful in enabling change.
I recently completed a Couples Counselling course, also through Vital Connexions; both this and my Diploma are accredited by COSCA, the regulatory body for counsellors in Scotland, of which I am a registered member. COSCA is also on the accredited register of the Professional Standards Agency.
I have a passionate belief in the hope for healing, growth, personal development and transformation that counselling affords, regardless of the circumstances that bring clients to me. I am totally committed to the process of working with clients to achieve progress and see them flourish.
I am currently available for face-to face sessions, telephone counselling and online via Zoom.

Rates
- Individual Counselling sessions last approximately 50 minutes at £40.00 per session
- Couples Counselling lasts approximately 90 minutes at £70.00 per session
Ideally, one session per week is recommended.
Privacy Policy
I am committed to respecting and protecting the privacy and security of the personal data of clients and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation including the General Data Protection Regulations 2018.
Confidentiality is vital to establishing a therapeutic relationship between counsellor and client and I take this very seriously. All data collected will be stored safely in paper form and disclosed only in very limited circumstances.
Further details of the Privacy Policy will be available and discussed, along with the Contract between us, at the initial assessment session and clients will be asked to sign this to indicate approval of the Policy.
